 According to the Aetiology :-

 Developmental :- Unknown Origin But aren’t the Result of Inflammatory Reaction

1- Dentigerous Cyst ( Follicular Cyst )
2- Eruption Cyst ( Eruption Hematoma )
3- Odontogenic Kerato-Cyst ( OKC ) ” Primordial ”
4- Gingival Cyst of Adult
5- Gingival Cyst of Newborn
6- Lateral Periodontal Cyst
7- Calcifying Odontogenic Cyst ( Gorlin’s Cyst )
8- Glandular Odontogenic Cyst ( Sialo-Odontogenic Cyst )

 Inflammatory :- Result of Inflammation

1- Preapical Cyst ( Radical Cyst )
2- Residual Cyst
3- Para-Dental Cyst ( Buccal Bifurcation Cyst )

 According to Tissue of Origin :-

🔵 Epithelial Rests of Malassez

1- Preapical Cyst
2- Residual Cyst

🔵 Epithelial Rests of Serres

1- Dentigerous Cyst
2- Eruption Cyst

🔵 Reduced Enamel Epithelium

1- ” OKC ” Odontogenic Kerato-Cyst
2- Gingival Cyst of Adult
3- Gingival Cyst of Newborn
4- Lateral Periodontal Cyst
5- Glandular Odontogenic Cyst

🚩 Unclassified :-

1- Paradental Cyst
2- Calcifying Odontogenic Cyst

🌺 Note :-

💎 Nevoid Basal Cell Carcinoma Syndrome

** Called also Gorlin – Goltz Syndrome

** Starts to appear usually after 5 Years of Age and before 30 Years of age with the Development of Kerato-Cystic Odontogenic Tumors ( OKC ) within the Jaw and Skin BCC .

💎 Eruption Cyst is the Soft Tissue Counter-Part of the Dentigerous Cyst
